Hilton Head Island_The Breeze Trolley_Coligny Circle_Shelter Cove Towne Center_Jeff Hunt_Dunes Real Estate
With approximately 2.5 million visitors each year, the traffic on our little 12-mile-long and 5-mile-wide Island can sometimes be a challenge, especially in the summer months.   With the recent release of Travel and Leisure Magazine voting Hilton Head “#1 Best Island” in the U.S. for the third year in a row, and Forbes listing Hilton Head Island one of the Top 5 markets for luxury real estate in North America, the traffic will only be increasing.

We are very proud of all these accolades and we love our tourists. And now, thanks to Lowcountry Transportation Authority, moving the tourists around the Island has just become easier for everyone. The Hilton Head Island Trolley has arrived!

A seasonal trolley service, named The Breeze, is now running every

Shelter Cove_Parrot Palooza_Cheeseburger in Paradise_Jeff Hunt_Dunes Real Estate

Kick back, relax and get on Island time at Parrot Palooza every Thursday night at Shelter Cove Harbour.  In the newly renovated Shelter Cove pavilion, Shannon Tanner and the Oyster Reefers band entertain with an island-themed show and Jimmy Buffet tribute.

Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to boogie down to your favorite Buffet songs and other Caribbean and island tunes. Check out the video below; you might even snag one of the famous beach balls that fly through the air every Thursday night when Cheeseburger in Paradise is performed.

But wait a minute…take a closer look at those beach balls; you will see that they are provided by Jeff Hunt!  What a clever way to advertise, but who do you think blows up all those balls before Thursday

Ancestry.com, 23andMe.com…it seems everyone is looking for their heritage and history.  If you are a heritage and history buff, why not look into the heritage and history of the place where you vacation! Hilton Head Island is rich in heritage and history, and the best place to explore the past and experience our rich history is at The Heritage Library History & Ancestry Research Center.

The Heritage Library is a private reference and research center that is open to the public for a daily $10 fee.  The Library shelves hold a wide range of historical works, and visitors are encouraged to browse the collections for items of interest.  The Library also houses the records of The Hilton Head Island Historical Society which contains a wealth of

BECOME A PART OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND FOREVER!

Shelter Cove Harbour is the place to be this summer!  I’m sure a visit to the Shelter Cove Harbour Pavilion to hear entertainer Shannon Tanner has become a tradition for you and your family when you visit Hilton Head.  This year is going to be even more special!

Shannon kicks off his 30th season on Hilton Head Island with his family entertainment show starting Memorial Day weekend, then he will perform Mondays – Fridays through September 2, with two one-hour shows nightly, 6:30-7:30 pm and 8-9pm.  But this summer when you go to see Shannon Tanner’s show you will notice a few changes in the pavilion where Shannon performs.  The 25-year-old Pavilion is getting a “facelift”.

The most exciting part of the

RBC Heritage of Golf_Sea Pines_Harbour Town_PGA_Dunes Real Estate

In honor of the 50th birthday of the Heritage Golf Tournament, everything is going Heritage plaid; even the iconic Harbour Town Lighthouse no longer has it familiar red and white stripes but is now plaid and white.  To accomplish this, the Heritage plaid pattern was printed on more than a half-mile of vertical and horizontal removable vinyl panels and pieced together to cover the red stripes.   Because the lighthouse is a stucco surface, and not smooth, the vinyl stripes were installed using a heat and roll process using a blow torch and a foam roller to allow the plaid vinyl to take on the texture of the lighthouse.  After about 30 hours of work to cover all sides of the lighthouse’s red stripes, four RBC Heritage 50 logos were also added.  The
